The archery clubThe archery club and its facilitiesThe archery club now is a continuation of the archery guild which, centuries ago contributed to the defence of The Hague. The coat of arms of the archery club contains the Jerusalemcross van Saint Sebastiaen. We now practice at Groenendaal 10, 2244 BK in Wassenaar (near to the horseracetrack Duindigt). The Archery club has 20, partially covered, 25 meter shooting ranges and two (much more in the near future) 90 meter ranges, om which the olympic distances (30-50-60-70-90 meters) can be practiced. There is a club house, open on club evenings and days. How to learn the archery skills and become a club memberPeople who are interested in learning the archery skills can attend courses several times per year. In approximately seven lessons, a professional archery trainer will teach people the basic archery skills. After these lessons people can become a junior member for three months. During this period, people can improve their archery skills and at the same time get to know the club better and people learn how to handle archery equipment the proper way as it remains a deadly weapon when used improperly. Also during this period, they can still use archery equipment from the club, with exception of the arrows. After these three months people can become a member of the club. People have to own their own equipment at that time. Our trainers will help you select the proper archery equipment, matching your personal and physical requirements and your budget.Joining matches and membership of the Dutch Archery AssociationEvery member of the club must become a member of the Dutch Archery Association (the "Nederlandse Handboog Bond"). As a member of the Dutch Archery Association you can attend regional, national and international matches, no matter the skill level of the archer.Want to know more?Drop by on one of the afternoons or evenings when the club is open.Hours of opening:
